Software solution and website testing:

Software testing or website testing is the technique which can help all the new users to know what they will have to do in the starting. It is just a preparation before getting started with any thing. So, you think you're ready to launch your new website, eh? You built your list of keywords? You know which ones you want to focus most on? You have your list of sites to publish your content and directories to list with? Great! Let me tell you something: it makes no difference if your page takes too long to load.

You've undoubtedly seen it plenty of times before while surfing the Internet. You go to a new website...anxious to say the information they have for you. You wait, and wait, and wait. How long would you wait for a website to load? May be too long………yah……You've probably noticed this before one or two of these sites. But, you waited. Why? Because you knew there would be information you would want. Whether it be to chat with a friend or get the latest political information, the site you accessed had something you wanted and you were willing to wait.

But, would you wait 4 minutes for my site to load? It's ok, be honest. I wouldn't even wait 4 minutes for my site to load! And if I wouldn't, I guarantee neither would you!Too many website designers and programmers spend so much time focusing on keyword-related content, internet marketing, affiliate marketing, and perhaps even cross-browser compatibility that most of us, I'm sure, ignore this most important factor! Sure, we'll notice if our page seems to take forever to load. But we're talking minutes. Can you tell the difference between eight and 30 seconds if you're not really paying attention. Not really!

The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) recommends not allowing your index page to load in more than eight seconds. I have no idea where that came from! But, let's make it even and fair at ten seconds. You, as a website owner, have ten seconds to make an impression. You better show something quick, and it better be good. The Back button is a mouse-click away!

Compression can add a huge benefit to your website! Most browsers will request that content be compressed before transmittal. It helps tremendously, just as you might download a .zip file to save time and still get the same product! Essentially, when you type a URL into your browsers address bar, one of the browser's first requests to the server is to send the information back compressed. The browser engine can then decompress the information and present it to you. There is no loss in quality by doing this. If you don't know how, ask your website programmer.

Keep your style sheets and other includes together as much as possible. Also, make sure any PHP, AJAX, or Flash scripts you run are executing smoothly. The longer the browser has to wait to read a style sheet or for sever to execute a PHP script, the less impressed your first-time visitor is. Particularly damaging is beginner programmers who don't execute a loop correctly and it keeps running. When you program, test your script. And when you finished testing it, test it again. And when your ready to publish your website, test it a third time. Why lose visitors because you didn't take the time to test your website?

By completely optimizing your website for your visitors viewing experience, you can assure that you give them the best chance to at least see what you have to offer. The worst visitor that comes to your website is the one who hits the back button before the page even loads. By optimizing your website to the best it can be, you can comfortably focus on the more important tasks of marketing and promoting your new gem!
